LAS CRUCES, N.M. - New Mexico State track and field travels to Edinburg, Texas, for the 2017 Western Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Wednesday, May 10.
In a vote by the leagues head coaches, NM State was chosen to win the WAC Women's Outdoor Championship. The Aggies received 41 points and three first place votes. Grand Canyon and UMKC tied for second in the voting with 40 points each. The Lopes received two first place votes and the Roos received one. In fourth place, with 39 points and two first place votes, was Utah Valley.
