SACRAMENTO, Calif. – New Mexico State track and field closed its season at the NCAA West Preliminary from Hornet Stadium on Saturday. Hannah Smith was the lone competitor for NM State, participating in the triple jump where she finished 29th.
During her second-straight year competing in the event, Smith jumped 12.39m (40-7.75) on her final attempt, finishing the event and also ending her season.
The 2019 campaign came to a close at the NCAA West Preliminary for the Aggie Track and Field program. Of the six athletes that qualified for the postseason meet, four senior's finished their careers at New Mexico State.
