ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Led by sophomore Aidan Thomas who used rounds of 67 and 66 Friday to lead all players, the NM State men's golf program sits at -2 overall after two rounds of the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate hosted by the University of New Mexico at the UNM Championship Course.
A native of Albuquerque, Thomas recorded 12 total birdies Friday to sit three shots clear of Sam Choi of UNM. The former WAC Freshman of the Year opened the day with a bogey-free round of 67 to share the lead after the first 18 holes.
