ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – After a strong 36 holes of golf on Friday, Garrison Smith showed no signs of fatigue in Saturday's final round. Smith caught fire between holes 12 and 17, going five under par with five birdies throughout the six hole stretch.
Shooting up the leaderboard, Smith found himself in second place and just one shot off of the lead with six holes remaining. Carson Griggs from Denver pulled away from the pack while Smith settled into a third-place finish – His second consecutive top-three finish to open the season.
All five Aggies carded at least four birdies in the final round to help push NM State up the leaderboard.
