ARLINGTON, TEXAS – It has only been about a month and freshman phenom Naomi Slee is already making her name known across the WAC swimming scene.
On Wednesday, the NM State distance swimmer was named WAC Swimmer of the Week following an impressive performance on Saturday against Northern Arizona.
The Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, native, picked up her first win of the weekend in the 1000-yard freestyle as she posted a time of 10:25.66 to reach the wall more than 10 seconds earlier than any other competitor. Not only was Slee's time the fastest on Saturday at the NM State Swimming and Diving Complex, but her altitude-adjusted time (10:19.
