BROWNSVILLE, Texas – NM State women's tennis senior Ashvarya Shrivastav headlined Thursday's Western Athletic Conference awards banquet on the women's side, earning WAC Player of the Year honors.
The Pune, India, product was the Aggies' anchor and team leader since arriving in Las Cruces. Shrivastav paces NM State in singles action with a 17-12 overall record in singles and 9-8 mark in dual play. She has split time between the top singles slot (5-7) and the No. 2 position (4-1) this season.
Joining Shrivastav on the podium is freshman Eli Arnaudova, who earned Second-Team All-WAC honors in singles.
