Rice Rips Miners' Hearts Out, Lifts Aggies to 72-69 Win with Last-Second Shot

EL PASO - For the second time in his collegiate career - and for the first time in a rivalry game - Jabari Rice beat the buzzer and broke the hearts of an NM State opponent.

With a 10-point first-half lead a thing of the distant past, NM State watched as Rice pulled up from long range and swirled in a game-winning long ball with 1.6 seconds to go to lift the Aggies to their third-straight win over UTEP, 72-69, Friday night at the Don Haskins Center.

Thanks to Rice, the Aggies improved to 11-1 in their last 12 matchups with the Miners and 14-2 in their last 16 showdowns against their longtime Texas rivals.
