SAN ANTONIO – The NM State men's golf team completed the first and second rounds of the Lone Star Invitational Monday. Senior Niall Powell sits among the top 25 in the leaderboard through the first 36 holes of play after firing a five-over-par 149 on the AT&T Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio.
Powell began his day with a three-over-par 75 in the first round before shooting a two-over-par 74 across his final 18 holes. The native of Drybrook, England, is tied for 23rd entering the third round.
Fellow senor Tanvir Kahlon followed closely behind Powell, finishing at six-over-par 150 and tying for 27th place.
