SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The NM State track and field team competed in just one event Friday at the Aztec Invitational, but they had a solid showing with Yemisi Oroyinyin and Emily Hernandez each posting top five finishes in the hammer throw.
Oroyinyin finished third in the hammer throw with a toss of 52.60m. Her third-place finish is her highest finish of the year after she finished fourth in the event last week at the Willie Williams Classic.
Hernandez posted her highest finish of the season as she followed Oroyinyin in fourth-place with a toss of 49.
