@NMStateWBB Dominates Second Half in Road Win

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The New Mexico State women's basketball team outscored Western Michigan 49-26 in the second half, including 22 second-half points from Brooke Salas, to notch a come-from-behind road win, 66-54.

The first quarter saw the Aggies (2-0) race out to a 7-1 lead after Gia Pack made a three and layup back-to-back. However, Pack and Brooke Salas got into foul trouble while the Broncos (1-1) got hot from three and went on an 18-0 run to end the quarter with a 19-7 lead.

NM State would start the second quarter on an 8-3 run thanks to threes from Monique Mills and Kalei Atkinson and a strong drive from Mills which cut the lead to 22-15 with 6:56 left in the quarter.
