THIBODUAX, La. – The NM State men's tennis team marched its way through Nicholls State Tuesday afternoon at the Colonel Tennis Complex with a 5-0 victory.
NM State's (9-8) top pair of and kicked things off with a 6-4 win before and finished off their counterparts from Nicholls State (4-8) on court No. 3 for the 6-4 win and doubles point.
Benitez was the first to wrap things up in singles action when he bested Dylan Loru 6-1, 6-2 on court No. 3. Buitrago followed up with a 6-1, 6-3 at the No. 5 position before picked up a 7-5, 6-3 win – his first at the top singles slot with the absence of de Haan to clinch the match.
