LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State baseball team opened a three-game series against Western Athletic Conference foe Sacramento State on Thursday night at Presley Askew Field. The Aggie bats put up runs over four innings and solid pitching allowed just three hits en route to an 8-2 victory in game one.
NM State (16-10, 3-1 WAC) sent ace to the mound for the series opener against Sacramento State (9-14, 0-1 WAC) right-hander Scott Randall. Bradish got rolling early tossing a one-two-three top half of the first before the Aggie offense opened the scoring.
In the bottom of the first, singled to third base to put baserunners on first and second with just one out.
