DENVER – The Western Athletic Conference announced its Academic All-WAC honorees for the fall on Thursday. In total, 28 New Mexico State student-athletes spread between women's soccer, men's and women's cross country and volleyball received recognition from the league.
Across the conference, 274 student-athletes were named to the list. Of the first and second team All-WAC selections from the fall sports, 59 percent were also honored as Academic All-WAC honorees.
To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.
