EDINBURG, Texas - Finish strong? That's exactly what the NM State men's tennis team did in its final WAC regular season match.
Erasing an early deficit in doubles play, NM State hiked its record to 3-1 in WAC action by dominating the rest of the way in a 6-1 victory over Chicago State Saturday morning at the Orville I. Cox Tennis Center on the campus of UTRGV.
DOUBLES
• The only lead the Cougars enjoyed came in the infancy of tandem action. Chicago State scored a 6-4 win on that line as Corey Clarke and Martin Simecek were out-dueled by Pedro Alvarez and Javier Sanchez.
