LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The NM State Softball Complex was selected as a winner of Pioneer Athletics' 2015 Fields of Excellence Award, announced Pioneer Athletics. This award was given to honor the spectacular field maintenance provided by NM State Facilities and Services.
"This is a big honor as it showcases the efforts of my team and how their dedication is presenting a positive image of NMSU Facilities," said groundskeeper supervisor David Cooper.
Recipients can be universities, high schools, athletic associations, city parks or other places with fields of play. Only 83 award winners were chosen.
"I am very proud of the team for obtaining this recognition and we understand that facility appearance helps with recruiting," said executive director of facility operations Tim Dobson.
