LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Incoming NM State baseball signee Cal Kilgore has been named to the Collegiate Baseball High School All-America Second Team, the publication announced.
A two-time Perfect Game Preseason All-American, Kilgore hit .380 for Blue Valley Southwest (KS) and contributed seven extra-base hits in 71 at-bats this season. Kilgore scored a team-best 25 runs during the 2021 season (25 games), leading the Timberwolves to the Kansas 5A State Title. The catcher was named to the Eastern Kansas League First Team and was a Second Team All-State selection.
Kilgore also excelled behind the dish in 2021, leading a pitching staff that pitched to an ERA of 1.
