WACO, Texas – After winning the United Equestrian Conference Tournament Saturday, the NM State equestrian team has earned the No. 11 seed in the 2016 National Collegiate Equestrian Association National Championship, announced the association Wednesday. Seeding was determined by the NCEA selection committee.
The nation's top 12 teams will compete at the Extraco Events Center in Waco, Texas April 14-16. The Aggies are slated to take on sixth-seeded TCU in Round One on April 14 at 7:30 a.m. MT. The winner of that competition will face the third seed, Baylor, in the quarterfinals.
The Aggies finished the season 6-7 overall after capturing a pair on wins in the UEC Tournament.
