The Aggies entered Saturday's matchup riding high after a commanding 4-0 victory over UC Riverside on the opening day of the quad. Despite the momentum, NM State fell short against host UNLV, dropping a competitive 4-2 decision after an impressive performance in doubles play.
In doubles, the Aggies came out firing, grinding out two hard-fought wins from the tandems of Gustavo Campos and Tobias Wallin, and Holland Snell and Lance Urlaub. Campos and Wallin edged out Dusan Rsovac and Thomas Navarro in a thrilling tiebreak, 7-6, while Snell and Urlaub followed suit with a 7-6 victory over Joel Gibson and Vitaliy Horovoy.
