GAME ONE
Samaria Diaz started in the circle for NM State (23-18, 8-1 WAC) and struggled in the first after giving up a one-out single. The following Arizona (29-12, 6-9 PAC 12) batter swung for the fences and a two-run homer to centerfield put New Mexico State behind 2-0.
