CHANDLER, Ariz. – Facing a loaded field in the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, the NM State men's golf team held its own, finishing in 17th place. The Aggies finished directly above Power Five foes Colorado and Texas Christian.
Garrison Smith led the Aggies over the course of the three rounds, finishing in a tie for 15th place. Smith's 69 in the third round matched his score from the afternoon session on Monday.
The Aggies will be back in action next Monday and Tuesday as they compete in the Bayou City Collegiate Classic, hosted by Rice, Sam Houston, and Houston.
