LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Hoping to string together back-to-back WAC victories for the first time the early stages of the month, the NM State women's soccer team instead found it difficult to get anything past a stout Utah Valley defense and dropped a 2-0 decision to the Wolverines Thursday night at the NM State Soccer Athletics Complex.
With the setback, NM State will be slotted as the third seed in the West Division for the upcoming WAC Women's Soccer Tournament. Mathematically, there is no way for the Aggies to rise to either the second or top seed in the West Division following Thursday night's result.
