NEW ORLEANS – The NM State 2016 football schedule is set after the finalization of the Sun Belt Conference schedule, as announced by the league office Thursday. All game times are TBA.
Five of the Aggies' opponents played in bowl games following the 2015 season. NM State's Rio Grande rival New Mexico played in the 2015 Gildan New Mexico Bowl. This season, the Aggies will host New Mexico on Sept. 10.
After facing four conference opponents, NM State will take a break from league play to travel to Texas A&M on Oct. 29. Texas A&M participated in the Music City Bowl in 2015.
