LAS CRUCES, N.M. – NM State and Northwestern have agreed to battle on the gridiron in 2023.
The two programs will clash on Oct. 23, 2023, at Ryan Field in Evanston, Ill. The contest will mark the first-ever meeting between the Aggies and Wildcats.
Northwestern, led by head coach Pat Fitzgerald, went 3-9 overall, including a 1-8 mark in conference play, in 2019. Before last season, the Wildcats had gone to four consecutive bowl games and were ranked nationally as high as No. 12 in both the AP and Coaches Poll during the 2015 campaign.
