With a new season on the horizon, New Mexico State football can finally look forward to conference play for the first time since 2017.
Conference USA and new member NMSU released their 2023 schedule on Tuesday afternoon, with the Aggies set to play eight league and five non-conference games.
Of their scheduled opponents, NMSU will play three teams that qualified for bowls in 2022, two teams in their first Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) seasons and one Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) program.
Thanks to a road game at Hawaii (Sept. 23), the Aggies will exercise their option for a sixth home game (and 13th overall) in an attempt to offset travel costs.
