DENVER – Katara Nelson was named the Western Athletic Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week the league announced on Tuesday. This is the third award of Nelson's senior campaign.
Nelson set a program in all three events she competed in at the Desert Heat Classic this past weekend. The senior ran 51.98 in her only individual event to claim first place.
