MADISON, Wisc. – The first round of regional play for the 2018 Division I Women's Golf Championship on University Ridge Golf Course in Madison, Wisc. wrapped up on Monday. NM State's Pun Chanachai, competing as an individual, fired a 77 (+5) and sits in a tie for 66th through 18 holes.
Day one saw Chanachai paired up with Connie Jaffrey of Kansas State and Pinyada Kuvanun of Toledo. The pairing opened on a tough front-nine that featured the NM State sophomore closing with a birdie before the turn.
The Aggie golfer played shot for par on seven of the final nine holes, but struggled on the 17th before closing with a five-over, 77.
