ST. GEORGE, Utah – Following a 23-run offensive explosion on Tuesday night, NM State looked to ride the momentum into a WAC series against Utah Tech. Unfortunately, the bats cooled off in flight as the Trailblazers took the pitchers' duel by a score of 4-2.
The long ball was flying early in St. George. To lead off the game, lifted a towering shot to left field, giving the Aggies an early 1-0 lead. In the bottom half of the first, Utah Tech used a two-run home run to take a 2-1 lead and would never surrender it.
