Men's Tennis Eases Past Weber State

LAS VEGAS – The New Mexico State men's tennis team cruised in its first match of the weekend with a 4-1 victory over Weber State Friday afternoon at the Fertitta Tennis Complex on the campus of UNLV.

Enrique Asmar and Louis Menard got things going for the Aggies with a blanking of their counterparts from Weber State, 6-0. Christofer Goncalves and Luis Flores lost their first match together since October of last year with a tough 7-5 defeat at the top doubles slot.

With the match tied a 5-5 in an intense back-and-forth battle, Stijn de Haan and Mauri Benitez fought off WSU's Hou-En Chen and Cezary Walkusz for the 7-5 win – which clinched the doubles point for NM State.
