LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State men's golf team played two rounds to complete the first day of action on the UNM Championship Golf Course at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate on Friday. Through 36 holes, the Aggies have shot a 291-294—585 (+9) and sit in ninth place out of 17 competitors.
Individual play for NM State features freshman Cameron Gambini leading the way after firing a 69-73—142 (-2) to put himself in a tie for eighth. Gambini also leads the team with eight birdies at the end of day one. Mike McGilton follows behind in a tie for 32nd shooting 73-73—146 (+2).
