LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State men's basketball team and officers from the Las Cruces Police Department and other law enforcement agencies are set to play in a scrimmage, Nov. 1, beginning at 5 p.m. on Lou Henson Court in the Pan American Center.
"This is a first-of-its-kind opportunity to bring our basketball student-athletes together with the men and women who serve and protect our community," head men's basketball coach Paul Weir said. "This will be a tremendous learning experience and we look forward to Tuesday."
The free event is part of the NM State Athletic Department's continuing effort to engage with and build relationships with members of the law enforcement community.
