Fayetteville, Ark. – Tumultuous weather has been the theme of the weekend over the first two days of action at the NCAA West Regional hosted by Arkansas at John McDonnell Field. On Thursday, the Aggies participated in six different events, looking to advance for a chance at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Ore.
Terice Steen became the first Aggie to advance to quarterfinal action in the 400m hurdles, followed shortly after by Jhana Downie in the 400m dash. The duo were already slated to compete with the 4x400 relay team on Saturday, but will now have two chances to make the trip to Hayward Field at the University of Oregon June 5-8.
