DENVER – New Mexico State track and field's Camira Haughton was named the Western Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday. This is the first honor of the outdoor season for the senior and Aggie squad.
Haughton was the top finisher in the 400m at the Ross Black Invitational last weekend when the she clocked in at 54.77 in the event. The time was a personal best for the sprinter and ranked fifth in the NM State record books. Haughton's personal record also placed her second on the WAC performance list.
