LAS CRUCES, N.M. – An offensive explosion powered NM State to a run-rule victory over Stephen F. Austin on Friday night. The Aggies launched three home runs, including a pair by Nolan Funke, in the 16-6 rout of the conference foe. Funke also became the first Aggie to tally four or more hits in a game this season, finishing just a triple shy of the cycle.
SFA opened the scoring with a pair of runs in the top of the second inning. NM State found a spectacular answer in the bottom half of the frame, scoring five runs.
