HONOLULU, Hawaii – The first game in the Bank of Hawaii Classic was a match up in paradise for the New Mexico State women's basketball team. From the first tip to the final buzzer, NM State outplayed and outscored the Sacramento State Hornets, to a final score of 99-73.
Friday's contest was a career night for multiple Aggies. Jasmine Cooper had a career-high six rebounds against the Hornets, while Tyesha Taylor had a career-high 16 points. Not to be outdone on the homecoming trip, Hawaii native Jeneva Toilolo set career highs in points with 16 and blocks with two.
