PALM DESERT, Calif. - NM State men's golf freshman Trey Diehl has a shot at the individual title after a spectacular 18 holes of play Saturday at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate.
The Farmington, N.M., native came in at two-under-par 70 in the second round and soared up the leaderboard into the top 25. Entering the day tied for 43rd, he will head into tomorrow's action at Classic Club five shots off the lead in a tie for 23rd at one-under 143 overall.
Sophomore Garrison Smith is tied for 84th at 10-over 154.
