ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Day one of the New Mexico Collegiate Classic has concluded and there were a number of impressive performances from both Aggies runners and throwers putting them in a good spot heading into day two.
The Day started with the women's long jump which saw three Aggies participate. Valissa Brown finished with the best Aggie mark recording a jump of 5.71m (18' 8.75") placing inside the top 20. Victoria Veserra was the next Aggie to place in the event, finishing with an official distance of 5.06m (16' 7.25"). After Veserra was Aggies newcomer Angelina Killings who concluded the event with a jump distance of 4.
