LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation and the R&A have confirmed three golfers hailing from Thailand to be invited to play in the Women's Amateur Asia Pacific. New Mexico State women's golfer Pun Chanachai earned the honor to represent her country in the WAAP from April 25-28 at The Royal Golf Club, Japan.
Being a part of the first three selections for the six-person team from her country, Chanachai has been recognized as one of the top-three golfers from Thailand on the World Amateur Golf Rankings. The winner of the WAAP receives an invitation to the 2019 AIG Women's British Open at Woburn Golf Club in Marquess, England and the 2019 Evian Championship at the Evian Resort Golf Club in France, both majors in women's golf.
