RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – The New Mexico State women's golf team wrapped up its first event of the spring at the Mission Hills Invite. The one-round tournament saw NM State's Pun Chanachai capture the fifth individual title of her career, tying current LPGA golfer and former Aggie Alena Sharp for the most in school history.
Chanachai tied with Idaho's Vicky Tsai for the individual championship and the pair were the only golfers to shoot under-par firing a 71 (-1) at the end of the 18-hole event. This is the second year in a row Chanachai has won the Mission Hills Invite after shooting a two-under, 70, as a sophomore in 2018.
