Beat goes on: Lobos handle Aggies in Pit

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Elijah Brown scored 20 points with eight rebounds and six assists Wednesday night to guide New Mexico to a 79-61 win over rival New Mexico State.

It is the 15th UNM win in the last 18 games over New Mexico State.

Tim Williams added 18 points for the Lobos (7-2) and Cullen Neal had 13 points and nine assists.

Pascal Siakam had 21 for the Aggies (5-5). But Ian Baker, who is second on the team in scoring, left midway through the first half following an injury. After running into a screen at midcourt, he lay motionless for about 10 minutes before slowly getting up and walking to the bench.
