LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Alison Gastelum is heading to Argentina, as the sophomore qualified and was selected to represent her home country of Mexico at the 2021 Women's Amateur Latin American Event (Nov. 18-21) at the Pilar Golf Club in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Gastelum joins top amateur and college golfers from Arkansas, North Carolina State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and UTSA.
"We're very proud of Alison for being invited to represent Team Mexico in the Women's Amateur Latin America," NM State women's golf head coach Danny Bowen said.
"Alison has showed a tremendous amount of growth in her game, and this invitation shows her that she is truly one of the best players from Mexico at the moment!
