RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The New Mexico State women's basketball team scored 22 points in the fourth quarter but lost to league-leading California Baptist 70-51 in Riverside on Saturday afternoon.
Trailing 58-36 in the fourth quarter, the Aggies got hot from beyond the arc and ripped off a 14-2 run to cut the deficit to 12, 60-48, with 2:22 to play. However, CBU recovered for the 70-51 final score.
NM State falls to 1-3 in WAC play while CBU remains perfect and in first place with an 8-0 conference record. After 17 made threes from the Lancers last night, the Aggies held CBU to just 5-16 shooting from deep.
