Aggies Take Game One of Rio Grande Rivalry Series 9-6

EL PASO, Texas – The New Mexico State baseball team took down New Mexico 9-6 in the first game of the Rio Grande Rivalry Series on Tuesday night at Southwest University Park. The bullpen was the story for the Aggies as Andy Frakes, Kyle Bradish and Tyler Erwin combined to throw four and two-thirds innings only allowing four hits, two runs and striking out five Lobos.

The Aggies jumped on UNM early in the first as Brent Sakurai got on via an error on the shortstop to lead off the inning.
