LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The Aggies swept Chicago State on Sunday with an 8-2 win. It was their first WAC sweep since sweeping Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colo. on April 6, 2014.
The Aggies got on the board first with Daniel Johnson poking a ball through the left side for a base hit. Johnson stole second during the next at-bat. Dan Hetzel drew a full count walk. Hetzel and Johnson pulled off the double steal during the next at-bat, putting runners in scoring position with one out. Johnson scored on a wild pitch to put the Aggies up 1-0.
