SEATTLE - Able to keep pace with a sharpshooting Seattle U team through the opening frame, the NM State men's basketball team fell into an ill-timed funk on offense midway through the second half and wound up on the wrong end of an 83-72 decision Friday night at the Redhawk Center.
The setback pushed NM State's record to 4-5 and 1-4 in WAC play while Seattle U moved to 9-7 and 2-2 in league tilts.
FIRST HALF
• Offense? Oh yes. Defense? Not a lot of it. That was the theme through a scintillating 20 minutes of action which saw the two WAC combatants combine for 92 points on a collective 54.
