LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Statement made. NM State (15-11, 5-2 CUSA) set the tone to start a three-game series with rival UTEP (16-7, 2-2 CUSA) as they earned a run-rule victory – defeating the Miners 9-1 on Friday night at the NM State Softball Complex.
In total, seven different Aggies recorded a hit and six Aggies notched at least one RBI highlighted by a pair of multi-hit games from Jillian Taylor and Dezianna Patmon. On the day, Taylor was 2-2 with a double and an RBI while Patmon finished 2-3 and one RBI.
