LAWRENCE, Kan. – A tough field and adverse weather conditions combined to push NM State women's golf on Monday and Tuesday. The Aggies finished the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational in ninth-place, ahead of four Power Five schools.
Tuesday's final round was shortened due to a freeze warning and a resumption of Monday's second round. When all was said and done, teams only played nine holes in an abbreviated finale.
NM State was paired with Boston College and Sam Houston for the shortened round. Kaylee Chen picked up the only birdie for NM State in the third round as she went under-par on hole 8.
