Aggies Pick Apart Miners in I-10 Showdown

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State women's basketball team (9-7, 2-1 CUSA) faced the UTEP Miners in the first 1-10 rivalry matchup for the season. The Aggies paced the game and grabbed the win, 65-49.

A slow start for the Aggies would allow the visiting Miners to jump out to a 7-3 lead before back-to-back threes from Jaila Harding and Molly Kaiser would put the Aggies ahead by one point with just under five minutes to play. The pair of triples would be two of four 3-pointers that the Aggies would make during a first quarter in which the Aggies did not make a two-point field goal.
