LAS CRUCES, N.M. – NM State opened the ITA Regional Championships with a solid showing in singles qualifying play, securing three victories on day one. While the Aggies fought hard in doubles action, they were unable to come away with a win despite competitive efforts on the court.
In singles qualifying, Holland Snell set the tone early, taking down Weber State's William Zulch in a tightly contested 6-4, 6-4 battle. Lance Urlaub followed with a gritty performance against Idaho State's Sam Wensley, grinding through a tense first-set tiebreak before dominating the second set to close out a 7-6, 6-0 victory.
