RIVERSIDE, Calif. - In an announcement made Friday, Jan. 1, by the NM State men's basketball and UC Riverside men's basketball teams, the two non-conference games between the Aggies and Highlanders originally scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 2 and Sunday, Jan. 3, have been canceled.
On Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020, the Aggies' previous opponent, CSUN, announced it was putting its program on pause as a result of positive COVID-19 tests within its program. Upon that news breaking and due to an abundance of caution, UC Riverside made the decision to cancel the two games between it and NM State upon consultation with its team medical personnel.
