LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The Aggie offense, led by redshirt sophomore quarterback Josh Adkins' 299 passing yards and graduate transfer wideout Tony Nicholson's career-high 78 receiving yards, found its rhythm in the second half, but it was too little too late.
NM State (0-3) cut its deficit to as little as two scores, trailing by only two touchdowns to begin the fourth quarter before falling, 31-10, to San Diego State (3-0) Saturday night inside Aggie Memorial Stadium.
The defense forced a turnover for the first time this season, thanks to senior defensive back Austin Perkins' second career interception.
